Stump Removal Services

Stump Grinding

What to expect

We have machines that are small enough to fit through a standard 36” gate allowing us to get into backyards or tight spots our competitors can’t go.  Our stump grinder is self-propelled and can be driven up to the stumps.  The grinder has a special carbide wheel that turns a stubborn stump into a pile of organic wood chips.  We grind the stumps and exposed roots generally 6-10” below ground level.

What do I do after the stump is removed?

When Hawaii Stump Removal has finished grinding a stump there is a pile of wood chips where the stump used to be. Most people take care of the clean-up themselves. It’s easy!

  1. Scoop out the majority of the wood chips and throw them away or use them as organic mulch around your other trees or shrubs.

  2. Fill the hole with black dirt.

  3. Place grass seed over the area and water.

However, for an additional fee, we offer a clean-up and haul-away service, which includes filling the hole with dirt and sod or grass seed.  The stump is now a distant memory.

Are you doing some construction or landscaping and have discovered a stump in your way and need it removed right away? Has a storm or hurricane left you with a big mess? Hawaii Stump Removal offers emergency stump removal. We can be out and help you ASAP! Please text “EMERGENCY “ to (808)TO-STUMP and we will respond quickly.

Are you doing landscaping?

Please let us know during your free phone consultation if you want us to CORE OUT the stump. What this means is if you are planning on putting in concrete, asphalt, or pavers in the area the stump is, we will need to CORE OUT the stump. That means grinding it deep enough so the main body of the stump is gone. Organic material will decay and cause a cavity over a long period of time and can cause areas to sink. This isn’t normally an issue on lawns, however, if you are planning to do any special landscaping or construction please let us know so we can determine the type of technique we need to do so that is done the right way.

Do you need any Excavating done?

We offer that too! Hawaii Stump Removal is also equipped to help you tackle the largest of projects and remove a forest of stumps with a full-sized excavator. We can handle land clearing, grading, and more.

Shrub & Small Tree Pruning & Removal
